The not often seen trio

Carl and I ran up to Taos Friday night to see Marcia Ball do her thing for the Taos Mountain Ski Patrol party. As usual she put on a great show and we danced 'till we hurt all over.

While there we were presented with a gift from the "Kids" which I thought everyone would enjoy. I wanted to publicly thank them for humoring the parents.

This is all the snow we left behind when we went to Hawaii. We got over 3 feet of snow on Valentines day and it all fell within a 12 hour period. You can see Amy's car in front of my van, her car was totally buried by a snow drift. We had a fun time shoveling them out so we could return to work. We had even more fun in Hawaii where it was over a hundred degrees warmer. This past week it has been -15 degrees, and with windchill it has been -34 degrees. haha, Vermont is sweet.

new blogs and tropical islands

Hello! Pete and I just got back from Hawaii and Fanning Island! Dave and Nan Rahn took Pete, Paul and I on a 10 day cruise on a big ship! I had never done anything of the sort, and it was ridiculously fun and relaxing.

It was also cool on that on Honolulu we got to see Ruby and Carl's old house on Hickam Harbor. I also saw the Marina where my dear father worked many long and grueling hours teaching sailing in some of the most beautiful waters on earth!

As you will notice, I chopped off all my hair prior to this trip and am finding it very easy to style.

Scheduled for the next post, the 3+ feet of snow Vermont got right before we left! Ha!

I hope you find the new blogger easy to use. I didn't realize I was holding up the works by not switching over! I think you're required to get a gmail account (which I already had and love), but that won't cost you a dime and gives you unlimited storage space anyway.

Xs and Os to you all! I miss you and always hope you'll show up at our place without warning!

March-in like a lion?

Las Cruces, my how things have changed in the past 30 years! We are ensconced at the Hacienda RV Resort waiting for the weather to improve so we can move north to Lyden. In the mean time we are enjoying the great hiking and have not suffered too much from the winds although they are sure to come.
Carl wants everyone to notice how shiney the coach is (notice the reflections in the side) as many hours were spent washing and waxing this past weekend. No hoses permitted (water conservation) so I got out the bucket and "Miracle" towels and we set to it. Carl had something to say about how easy it might be to wax a basket ball court on hands and knees after this job.
The resort is just to the west of town and we look east to the Organ Mountains, so most weekend mornings we are able to watch the balloons fly over the city and foothills as we enjoy our coffee. Of course, nothing beats the NM sunsets and the green chile.
