Whereupon We Make Home Improvements

Weeeelll it's not a stretch to say we've been a little remiss in filling you all in on the life and times. Our seedlings got big (VERY big in the case of the nasturtiums!) and now we've had a frost or two, which is always bittersweet. This pic of the garden was taken around Labor Day.


We had a blast in Michigan in early August, getting together for a big Rahn reunion with the whole posse, including our two hilarious nieces, Jorga and Emma.







I gave a presentation at the art gallery, and wore peep-toe heels that remind me of one Ruby Weinmeister.


Okay okay so now it's Fall, the leaves were beautiful (I took no pictures...sorry) and we've just installed our wood pellet stove. As my dad says, "The only thing better than a fire is a mechanized fire." So these pictures are of the hearth as we were building it, our friends helping us haul the cast iron beast into our house, and the fire we have to show for it!






Pete in our newly orange living room! "Sweet Potato" they call that hue we painted our living room...for good reason.
